Kate is a violinist in the Chicagoland area. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Violin Performance from the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign and has studied violin privately with Sarah Smith, Drew Lecher, Serban Lupu, and Stefan Milenkovich, and studied chamber music with members of the Grammy Award-winning Pacifica Quartet. Kate has also studied with Cyrus Furough, played in masterclasses for Felicia Moye and Rachel Barton Pine, and performed with Yo-Yo Ma, Emmanuel Ax, Samuel Ramey, and Frederica von Stade, among others. Kate teaches violin in Naperville, with a studio ranging from beginners to advanced students.
