Drew Lecher

Drew Lecher is a master teacher in the Naperville area and the author of Violin Technique: The Manual and Viola Technique: The Manual. Former concertmaster of the Milwaukee Ballet, Milwaukee Opera, and Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, among others, Mr. Lecher studied with many fantastic teachers, including Professor Ivan Galamian of The Julliard School. He’s a former Professor of Violin and Viola at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London, the Chicago Musical College at Roosevelt University, and several other institutions. Mr. Lecher has received high praise from his former teachers and students, and was named Illinois ASTA’s Studio Teacher of the Year in 2009, but perhaps his single greatest honor is his Stradivarius violin, c.1721, which was named after him in Ernest N. Doring’s How Many Strads? Our Heritage from the Master.
