Rebecca Matayoshi

Rebecca Matayoshi is a performer and teacher based in San Diego, CA. A violist with the Hawai’i Symphony, Ms. Matayoshi has also performed with the San Diego Symphony, San Diego Opera, and Dresdner Philharmonie, as well as doing studio and commercial work in Los Angeles. Ms. Matayoshi is an avid chamber musician, having collaborated with artists from the Philadelphia Orchestra, Staatskapelle Dresden, St. Cecilia Orchestra, and San Diego Symphony, and she’s also performed in the Broadway production of The Lion King, with Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, and toured with folk and blues artist Cameron McGill. A student of Marcus Thompson, Masumi Rostad, and Rudolf Haken, among others, Ms. Matayoshi maintains a private studio in San Diego and is the Founder and Artistic Director of Dually Noted, a music organization that artistically pairs music and food.
